Expo 2000 - Slovakia pavilion
DORMA’s exhibition contribution for the Republic of Slovakia - nicely rounded A view of the past, and a view into the future, with its "magic eyes" the Republic of Slovakia offers information on environmental destruction and what they are doing to counter it. In Hall 15, the message is conveyed with scenographic dexterity through artistic and architectural exhibits. An interesting focal point is provided by a pulsating glass object: An eye from which water flows, symbolising the source of life. The architectural emphasis is on the central building - with its belly-like bay feature. Prominent FeaturesThe solution for the Republic of Slovakia Three automatic sliding doors were included in the design of this small pavilion. Two are quite unusual, as they have externally curved leaves. The problem with this concept: Ensuring safe and reliable guidance of the relatively heavy automatic door leaves under operating conditions. |
