Award in recognition for DORMA’s contribution to Indo-German economic relations

Ennepetal/Bonn. DORMA has been recognised with a prestigious award presented at the annual conference of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) held in Bonn. In the presence of 300 international guests CEO Dr. Michael Schädlich received the honour from the Indian ambassador in Berlin, Meera Shankar, for special contributions to the development of Indo-German economic relations. This major accolade was given to DORMA as a result of the establishment of a special sales and distribution system which incorporates significant employee training and support in India. “It is a great honour for a medium-sized company like DORMA to receive this award and at the same time it is a challenge to do even more in India”, said Dr. Schädlich. He pointed out the good cooperation with the IGCC.

Plaudits go particularly to Regional Manager Emerging Markets Christoph Jacob and Country Manager VR Ramesh. The “special sales and distribution system” refers to the DORMA Certified Business Partner concept (CBP) jointly initiated in India.
