Versatile signage system for information and advertising output

Today’s major building projects – whether as airports, railway stations, hotels, department stores, hospitals or administration buildings – often place enormous demands on the orientation capabilities of their users and visitors. The volume of instructions is often confusing, and the information is not always ideally structured to facilitate easy way-finding.

With its new information display, DORMA is able to offer a practical solution to
this problem on the basis of a single-line LCD display to communicate currently relevant information. When installed in the departure area of an airport, for example, a fixed line on the left can mark the access point to a certain gate, while the variable right-hand line can show the flight number and destination.

In department stores or hotels, the LCD display can also advertise special product offers or services or, in the case of an emergency, show instructions on how to leave the building and even indicate the best escape route.

The information display is part of DORMA’s strategy to create an integral product range comprising mutually compatible, complementary and readily combinable products in the form of door control and automation equipment, architectural hardware, and safety and security components within an all-encompassing system. more…
